ITV Racing: Live Coverage on February 3rd 2024
Racing from Sandown, Leopardstown and Mussleburgh
ITV's coverage will come live from Sandown Park, showing five of the day's seven races on a packed card. The highlight of the meeting is the Grade 1 Virgin Bet Scilly Isles Novices' Chase. Djelo runs for trainer Venetia Williams, who is eyeing a second win in the race in three years, having won the 2022 renewal with L'Homme Presse. Hermes Allen and Corbetts Cross are the big dangers.
In addition to Sandown, ITV will broadcast live coverage of three races up at Musselburgh whilst they'll be over at Leopardstown for two races on day one of the Dublin Racing Festival.
The big race at Leopardstown is the Grade 1 Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup, which is scheduled to get underway at 3:35pm. Last year's winner, Galopin Des Champs, could go off as the odds-on favourite for the race, but there will be fierce competition from the likes of Fastorslow, Gentlemansgame, Gerri Colombe and Conflated.
Oli Bell will present Saturday's ITV racing coverage, with analysis from Luke Harvey and Mick Fitzgerald. Viewers will also enjoy reports from Alice Plunket and Natalie Green, with additional commentary from Richard Holies.
Here is a preview of what racing fans can expect this coming Saturday.
